Trying a healthy detox regimen

If you’ve ever followed a restrictive diet, you know how hard it can be to stick to it. By the third day of a new diet, most people are heartbroken and look for ways to incorporate something else into their menu so they don’t have to eat protein and kale salad for another day.
These restrictive diets are difficult because they cut out entire food groups. And that can be unhealthy for many reasons. When we cut whole food groups from our diet, we deprive our body of important nutrients it needs. The result is often a vitamin or mineral deficiency that later manifests itself in symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog or hair loss.
An incremental detox is an alternative way to cleanse your body without cutting out entire food groups. It is also a healthier way than drinking gallons of lemon juice and maple syrup every day for weeks on end. Read more about performing a healthy detox regimen in this article.

How to perform a gradual body detox

There are no strict rules for detoxing. But there are a few guidelines to follow if you want a gradual and healthy detox. – You can detox for as long as you want, but it’s often best to start small and see what works for you. – Try eating more vegetables and less protein for a few days. Then try eating mostly raw foods for a few weeks. And so on. – You can opt for a water fast or juice fast if you want to do a more extreme detox. – Although a slow detox is easier to stick with, it’s also easier to derail. So if you want to try a slow detox, make sure you have enough self-discipline.

Eat more vegetables and less protein

Some pro-detox diets suggest eating more vegetables and less protein. The logic is that proteins cost more energy and therefore require more from your body than vegetables. This is true in the short term, of course. But it ignores the long term, where your body needs to break down and rebuild protein. And protein contains essential amino acids that are essential for many body functions. A better idea is to eat more vegetables and less processed foods. Processed foods are often high in sugar, fats or sodium. and vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals that your body needs. Vegetables also contain fiber, which is important for a healthy gut. And they are rich in antioxidants that can reduce the risk of certain diseases. Read more on the Juice website to know all about healthy detox cures.
